January 28, 2010This was a fun session for Project: Got Breastmilk. Totally Portland style- rain, woods, nature. Perfect. This mom rode to the shoot on her bike with baby in tow as well. I am so motivated to finally get a bike so I can join my family on rides in the city. I mean, portland is one of the most bike-friendly cities in the United States.

Project: Got Breastmilk- Model Casting Call! {Portland Area}
December 16, 2009Many of you know that I am the co-founder of an amazing breastfeeding project, Project: Got Breastmilk. This project is a collaborative project that myself, and my colleague and friend, Nicole Hill, have been working on over the past few years. I have photographed nursing moms and their little ones all over the country for this project. Nicole and I share the dream of making breastfeeding the norm, rather than the exception, through fine art photography.
Currently, I am seeking “models” in the Portland, OR and surrounding areas for this project. If you or someone you know are interested, please e-mail me as soon as possible, and I will send you more details. I’m alloted a certain amount of time for this project, and am only accepting a limited number of “models” at this point. First Birthday
March 13, 2009My daughter’s first birthday was yesterday. She had a wonderful birthday, and we were definitely a bit worn out by the end of the day- we *all* slept good last night! Between the beach and gorgeous Paramount Ranch in Agoura, we got some amazing photos to document her day.
I must give kudos to the amazing women who helped me put together the cutest birthday outfit. First, the birthday hat I bought from a lady who sells on Ebay. She was very patient with me, and extremely fast in customizing the hat and shipping it to me. You can see her website here:
And the adorable little red and black tutu I got from a client of mine who is very talented. She has the cutest things for mom, baby, and kids on her website. She was very fast to get me the tutu, and it fit my daughter perfectly. It photographed very well as well (you would be surprised that although some tutus *look* cute, they don’t always photograph well), and I will definitely be ordering more. I will share more photographs after her birthday party on Sunday (I also have a cute birthday shirt for her that is customized with her name and little ladybugs on it, which is the theme of her party), but for now, here is one from yesterday:
Sweet Mom & Baby at the Ranch
February 27, 2009I’d like to share a session I had a few weeks ago- I had the opportunity to photograph one of the most amazing moms and baby girl I’ve ever met. We had fun at a local ranch in the area. The scenery was beautiful and of course, this little girl knew exactly what to do around the camera.
